Common cold is some times called as Flu. Flu spreads from infected person to a health person by physical contact or sharing common clothing or remaining in close proximity.
Flu as also known as influenza and it is a contagious disease.
How Flu spreads
Flu or influenza is caused by Bacteria pneumonia. Since it is a contagious disease it spreads when an infected person sneezes in air any body in close proximity is likely getting infected. It also spreads by sharing common towel or any other clothing.
Flu Symptoms
Flu , influenza or common cold symptoms are sever body pain, a day or two before patient complaints of sever body pain as if the body is breaking. The patient also suffers from sever sneezing, running nose or stuff nose, cough, irritation in throat, high fever. Fever remains for 4 to 5 days with all the symptoms mentioned.
Treatment
Patient showing the above symptoms is diagnosed as suffering from Flu or influenza. Treatment should be nasal drops to be administrated for stuff nose and running nose. Antiestamines along with antibiotics to be given twice daily for five days. It has to be combined with vitamins C and B complex to give resistance. To bring down high fever of the patient administered with analgesics.
Diet for the patient
Normal diet to be given if the patient feels so and does not vomit. More of hot liquids like soups, milk to be regularly given. Oranges and citrus fruits to be given along with apple and other food.
Patient feels thirsty so give plenty of fluids and water.
Flu Vaccination
Flu Vaccination is 1) Flu shot. There is a saying prevention is better than cure so in India to give over all protection we advice Chyawanprash , honey every day morning along with citrus fruits like Oranges. Vitamin C to be made regular practice to give protection especially for Cold and Flu.
Side effects of Flu
Some times it is marked that people of age more than 65 years, pregnant women may suffer from chronic asthma, heart disorder and bronchitis.
Therefore it is seen that with change of season people suffer from Flu or common cold or influenza. Avoid the sharing of cloths like towels, bed sheet, napkins of an effected person of Flu. Eat plenty of Oranges, two tea spoons of honey every morning. Vitamin C should be a habit in your daily routine. Keep napkin while sneezing to spread the Flu. Keep health and clean environment for disease free surrounding and health breathing.
