We’ve all been there. It usually starts with a sore throat and maybe a feeling of fatigue, Then comes the cough and runny nose and clogged sinuses, fever, body aches and lethargy. You’ve gotten a cold or the flu and realized that the next few days to a week ore not going to be fun. That’s when I reach for Tylenol Cold medicine. It’s the first and only cold and flu medicine I reach for. I’ve tried others and they just don’t work for me. They may relieve the aches and pains, but don’t help with the sinus congestion and sore throat. Thankfully, I don’t get very many colds, but when I do I’m miserable and Tylenol Cold and Sinus tablets works wonders for me. Even my husband, who won’t take anything in the form of medicine’ asks for my Tylenol when he gets a cold.

Here are some of the symptoms it helps :

Fever: A fever is really your body’s way of fighting off infection and illness and is not necessarily a bad then. However, if it rises too high, say 102 degrees or higher there can be severe consequences to your vital organs. So, if your fever rises above about 101, I’d suggest taking the Tylenol Cold medicine.

Aches and Pains: Quit often achy joints and muscles accompany the flue or a cold. Tylenol relieves these for me quickly. I also get headaches, usually sinus headaches, and Tylenol helps relieve those as well.

Sinus congestion – Tylenol helps clear this up almost immediately, and when my sinuses are clear and I can breath through my nose, this makes my sore throat heal faster.

There is one thing to be careful of however. Because Tylenol is fast at relieving your symptoms, it may give you a false sense of security and you’ll think it’s fine to go to work or continue with other physically challenging activities. Please think about this, your symptoms may be relieved or even gone, but your body is still ’sick’. Give yourself a day or two to rest. This will also lower the risk of your spreading your cold or flu or picking up a secondary infection yourself.

Tylenol Cold comes in several forms, prices range between $5 and $8.

Tylenol Cold Multi-Symptom Nighttime Liquid

… Doxylamine Succinate – Runny nose. Does not contain alcohol. Cold Multi-Symptom with Instant Cool Burst Sensation, Nighttime, LiquidTylenol. Cost: $6.00

Tylenol Cold Multi-Symptom Daytime Caplets, Cool Burst, 24 ea

Multi-Symptom Severe Liquid Daytime.

Tylenol Cold Multi-Symptom Liquid Nighttime, 8 fl oz

Multi-Symptom Liquid Nighttime.

Tylenol Cold Caplets Day/Night

Tylenol Cold Multi-Symptom Nighttime Liquid

… Doxylamine Succinate – Runny nose. Does not contain alcohol. Cold Multi-Symptom with Instant Cool Burst Sensation, Nighttime, LiquidTylenol. $.6.99

As with all medications, but sure to check with your doctor to be certain there will be no interactions with other medications you’re taking or that Tylenol Cold won’t exacerbate other medical conditions you may have.
